In this case, Canadian Pacific (CP) was making changes to their mainline and client storage tracks were located on the CP right-of-way (ROW). The client needed support on the preliminary design and capital cost estimate required to reconfigure the existing site so as not to lose storage capacity.

The site was challenging as it was already heavily utilized with other tracks and underground pipelines. The slope of the land was also significant, presenting additional design challenges. Journey has the expertise and experience required to work on challenging brownfield sites. The rail team performed a track study to ensure sufficient track space was available and identify possible upgrades and improvements to operations. A Class 3 capital cost estimate was also provided for input into decision-making.
