Here’s to 2025!

February is here and we’re so deeply entrenched in the new year, 2024 already seems like a distant memory. It’s worth reflecting a little as we head into what’s sure to be another lively year.

At our Christmas party, it was amazing to spot all the new faces in the room. We saw steady growth in 2024, adding 15 of the right people in an intentional way. Similarly, it was great to see the wizened faces of the veterans, celebrating and looking forward to the new year with energy and optimism. As a team, we experienced many things in 2024. We commissioned plants, moved (small) mountains (of dirt), and logged many kilometers on roads throughout Western Canada. We had weddings, welcomed little ones into this world, emergency overnighted on mountains, and sang karaoke (really on-key… according to some…). Most importantly, we did right by our clients who depend on us to help build assets that work.

We’re fortunate to have clients who treat us as partners, integrating us into their teams and giving us a chance to build successful programs year after year. “It ain’t always easy but nothing good is,” as a wise man once told us. Our team lives for the moment of standing in an operating plant or a commissioned cell that we’ve designed, helping a happy operations group with the startup, and working with the client project managers on designs for the subsequent program.

When looking back at the type of company we wanted to build — one rooted in genuine values, practicality, and long-term partnerships while focused on the growth of our people and clients — we’d say we’re on a good path. We are proud to have #10years of milestones and welcome many, many more!

Life is never without its uncertainty. One thing we’re sure of is it’s exciting to come to work every day and know, no matter what happens geopolitically or with transitions in our industry, we have a team who is extremely capable of solving complex challenges and there will always be a need for this in the world. Here’s to another fulfilling year!
