Our client’s operations rely on having #lagoon capacity for their #SAGD process. The existing lagoon was near capacity, and as such, the client partnered with Journey Engineering Corporation to complete the #design, #permitting, and #construction of a new lagoon with Journey remaining as the Engineer-of-Record (#EOR) for this structure for the 1st year of operation.

This new lagoon was required to be in operation within the 2023 operating year – the #critical factor leading to this project’s #success was in having a fast and responsive project team. Journey also worked together with Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. to ensure that a #quality, first-in-class lagoon got built while achieving completion as early as possible in 2023.
