Team Profile: Cherise Renwick

Let’s kick off the New Year with a formal introduction to one of our amazing civil E.I.T.s, Cherise Renwick! She graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in #Civil Engineering. After graduating, she worked in #consultancy for 5 years and was mainly involved in design projects for land development drainage infrastructure, contract documents, ensuring compliance, document reviews, and project coordination and management for other construction and design projects. She then worked for the Government of Trinidad & Tobago for over 3 years on #municipal civil infrastructure projects coupled with bridge design and construction projects. In 2021, she also achieved a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and attained #PMP certification.

Having joined Journey Engineering Corporation in 2022, Cherise has been truly instrumental in adding key bench-strength and rounding out our already robust civil team, in particular being engaged on #dam #safety #management projects – she is skilled in performing dam inspections, preparing documents for regulatory compliance (including Engineering Inspection Reports, Operation, Maintenance, & Surveillance (#OMS) Manuals, and Dam Safety Management Plans (#DSMPs), as well as reviewing Emergency Management Plans (#EMPs). She also spent time performing QA/QC site inspection for a #landfill construction project, ensuring compliance with construction drawings and specifications, and tracking production on site. We have experienced her utmost #determination to help the client succeed on any project she has come across.

Outside of work, she loves to spend #quality time with friends, winding down with a good book, and trying out new experiences. Cherise has mentioned that she looks up to her Grandmother because in her life, she was kind to everyone she met and always kept a #positive outlook in tough situations.
