In our ongoing efforts to ramp up meaningful #growth and expand our business operations, we are delighted to welcome Derek Marshall to the Journey Engineering Corporation team. It’s only been a month, but it’s quite apparent to all of us just how passionate he is with the work that goes on here at Journey!
An alumnus from the University of Alberta, Derek is a seasoned engineer with over 20 years of #technical experience in O&G #facilities design and project execution. His #project, #process, and #mechanical engineering expertise revolves around acid gas injection; CO2 handling; carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS); separation; compression; dehydration; gas refrigeration, amine sweetening; cryogenic liquids recovery (deep cuts); condensate stabilization, liquids fractionation; and sulphur recovery.
Outside of the engineering world, #family time is everything. Derek is a husband to a fantastic wife, father to 2 boys and 1 girl, and also actively involved as a #coach and #volunteer in his children’s #hockey, #baseball, and #softball organizations. Fun tidbit – he can also play a range of instruments (preferably traditional Irish #music in local pubs while sipping on a pint of Guinness!).
